Job Description

What the role requires:

A resourceful, experienced, versatile marketer and educator who knows how to connect people and resources to get the job done in an innovative and outstanding manner. A creative problem solver. As a member of the marketing team, you will lead by example with skills that span the full breadth of marketing including experience in the following: start-up environments, the EdTech industry, digital marketing, content creation, copy writing and project management.

The daily:

This role will work in tandem with the Head of Content in the Marketing and PL department to facilitate the creation of processes and procedures using marketing best practices as a starting point.

  • Content creation: Excellent writer, editor and curator who is adept at taking high-level concepts and themes to synthesize them into digestible, compelling content and assets for email, websites, blog posts, case studies, etc. 
  • Content management: Supporting the implementation of a comprehensive digital plan that crafts exceptional online experiences for Hāpara’s marketing funnel. Including the creation of ongoing relevant content that supports the mission for Hāpara products.
  • Email marketing: Implement promotions and marketing campaigns to drive awareness, build engagement and drive retention efforts across Hāpara’s products and brand.
  • Social media marketing: Assist in developing paid and organic social media content. 
  • Content creation: Excellent writer, editor and curator who is adept at taking high-level concepts and themes to synthesize them into digestible, compelling content and assets for email, websites, blog posts, case studies, etc. 
  • Project management: Create project plans, define deliverables and map them to our brand and products from ideation to delivery (using Monday); including monitor and identify risks and open issues within projects, followed by an audit of results.

  • Desire to work for a mission-based organization with a team of educators that believes strongly in equitable, high-quality education for all students 
  • Passionate about supporting educators through innovative technology and professional development
  • 4-6 years marketing experience
  • 2 years of project management experience
  • 2 years experience in the edtech industry
  • 4-6 years in K-12 education (former classroom teacher, instructional coach, etc.) 
  • A highly skilled, and extremely organized person who loves to manage projects and is passionate about digital and content marketing
  • Agile, quick-thinking multi-tasker who is able to pivot quickly between tasks and adapt to rapidly shifting expectations and goals
  • An excellent communicator, both written and verbal
  • Strong communicator who’s very collaborative; a relationship builder
  • An open-minded, quick learner, always willing to test new ideas
  • Big picture thinker who embraces the details to achieve and surpass goals
  • A true team player who’s not afraid to jump in and tackle a new assignment, no matter how challenging or unfamiliar
  • Must be coachable and recognizes that everyone can coach and be coachable
  • Experience with website builders such as WordPress and can “speak HTML” a plus
  • Experience building, implementing and iterating digital marketing campaigns and email workflows
  • Experience with marketing automation systems, ie. Hubspot, etc.
  • Experience with Google Workspace for Education and Google Classroom
