ISTE is always one of our favorite events of the year, and ISTELive 23 was no exception.
We were thrilled to see so many new and familiar faces in Philadelphia at our booth, and for those joining our sessions virtually. A big thank you to everyone who came to say hello, especially those who helped find our missing sheepicorns around the convention center.

Tim Hahn
I serve as an EdTech Analyst for Lincoln Public Schools in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a dedicated advocate for technologies that support effective instruction and a Hāpara trainer, I’m continually impressed with Hāpara’s ability to help teachers guide student learning.
Jessica Peters
I am the director of personalized learning at KIPP DC and a former high school math teacher. After having taught using 1-to-1 devices without Hāpara, I see the awesome impact Hāpara has on KIPP DC’s teachers, allowing them to assist and interact with students, keep the class moving forward together, and easily see when a student is struggling to stay on task. I would one day love to meet Hipi (sheepicorns exist, right?) in the mythical land of New Zealand.

I am an Educational Technology Analyst for Lincoln Public Schools, where Hāpara has been a spotlight tool for more than a decade. My team has helped thousands of teachers see that Hāpara is a powerful tool for shaping the instructional environment for students on Chromebooks, with the added benefit of reducing off-task behaviors. James Reed
I am the Technology Integration Specialist at Holdrege Public Schools in Holdrege, Nebraska, United States. I help students and teachers use technology, while also managing the district’s social media accounts, creating content and running the video boards at sporting events. One of my favorite Hāpara features is when a student requests that a site be “unblocked,” they must state a reason why.
Jared Rowe
I am an EdTech Analyst with Lincoln Public Schools in Lincoln, Nebraska. As a former English teacher and current Hāpara trainer, I value Hāpara’s commitment to emphasize proactive and positive methods of guiding students’ online learning. Hāpara is a core component of a modern classroom.
Donna Yates
Kia ora, I am Donna Yates. I am a Manaiakalani Facilitator who works in 10 rural schools in the Te Hiku Cluster in the Far North of New Zealand. The schools all use Hāpara, and it is my job to introduce Hāpara and teach educators how to use it. I also model it in my weekly cybersmart lessons in classrooms across my cluster.
