Flexible lessons and resources for every Connecticut learner
Hāpara Workspaces
English Language Arts Grades 9-12
In this Workspace, students will explore the ways in which authors use literary devices (similes, metaphors, etc.) and persuasive techniques (ETHOS, PATHOS & LOGOS) in fiction and non-fiction texts.
Mathematics Grades/Years 8
In this Workspace, students learn how to solve linear equations and discover their applications. Students will practice rearranging equations and formulas to solve in terms of one variable. Students will explore intersection of lines and determine the solution of a linear system graphically.
Science Grades/Years K-2
In this Workspace, students learn about materials by using them to construct a variety of objects, including model buildings, toys, boats and vehicles. Students select materials to use and gain experience as they cut and shape, fold, pile materials on top of one another, join parts, and try different techniques to achieve the result that they intend. In the process, they learn to look at objects that are similar to what they are trying to construct and, with guidance, begin to recognize the component parts that make up the whole.
With Hāpara Workspace you can create lessons from the get-go that allow for students to move at a pace that suits them. The unit of study you create could take a week, it could take a month or two months.”
