Hāpara Administrator: Setting up each school year
At the beginning of each school year, it is necessary to do a quick review of your Google Admin and Hāpara Admin Console. This ensures that after your first data load, students and teachers will have the access they need to use Hāpara effectively.
Following this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Review the Google and Hāpara Admin Console settings to verify access for new students and staff members.
- Verify that archiving is complete to begin loading new data.
- Find Hāpara product updates and join the Hāpara Community.

Hāpara Administrator: Data loading with Google Classroom sync & manual class creation
Using a Google Classroom sync is the quickest and most hands-off method for Tech Admins. Teachers can create Google Classrooms and sync the rosters, putting all of the control in the hands of the teachers. Learn more about this option to see if it is a fit for you!

- Evaluate the considerations when deciding to use a Google Classroom sync or allowing teachers to create classes from Teacher Dashboard.
- Understand the purpose and necessity of teacher validation groups in the Hāpara Admin Console.
- View the Teacher Dashboard from a teacher’s perspective and how they can make changes to their Hāpara classes.

When a Google Classroom or automated SIS sync are not viable options, manually loading class and student spreadsheets to roster classes for teachers could be an option.

When a Google Classroom sync is not a viable option, automating the pull of your class and student data gives teachers a view of all of their classes without having to do any syncing from the Teacher Dashboard. Learn how to configure and sync that data for your teachers.

- Test class download of data to verify the accuracy of this data before an initial sync.

- Find where the Highlights settings are in the Hāpara Admin Console.
